Grace Winter Woods

Racquel James Esau

In the live cathedral, the vaulted ceiling, sleeping, sways,
Creaks, catches, bending branches spill snow on upturned face.
A baptism of pure beauty, fall of clean white grace.

Oh, grace is cold down the neck, when it comes
To that, when it comes like that. When it falls like some
Shocking, shivering shower and awakens, oh no, never numbs.
