even so even as

even so even as

even so even as

Darcy Luetzow Staddon

do not be

terrified there is

still ice cream

even so even

as our throats are

scraped out a giant

pestilence a fingernail

scraping out the singing

in our throats no

one said a voice

shredded is less use

ful for singing more

so maybe more of a branch

twisted nest-like in the tall

burning tree so

before it melts quickly it’s

chocolate and

I will still give

you a mouth
